Mutual Future

Gala 2023

Wellbeing Strategy

For Gala Music Festival’s 2022 edition, we teamed up with their dedicated well-being team for the second time to design a social media campaign launching a 4-step system for festival goers to assure their well-being in case of any issues. Below our press release sent out to ticket holders.

We can't control people's actions. We can, however, change our response to them. Which is why we are so pleased to share our collaboration with GALA 22 on their newly established Welfare Services and response team for this year's festival at Peckham Rye, London.

GALA wanted to ensure everything in their power is done to secure the wellbeing of their visitors and support a zero tolerance policy to harassment, assault and abuse of any kind.
A message dedicated to creating a safe, harassment-free space for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, spiritual belief or religion.

For those lucky enough to be at the festival this year - be sure to familiarise yourselves with the 4-steps above and locate the Welfare Area on the day. Welfare Support Staff will be identifiable by their purple high vis vests, with the LGBTQIA+ security team wearing rainbow badges. They’ll be present throughout the site providing support where needed.

For those that can’t make it - we hope you still join us towards building a Mutual Future.

With love,
DBAC
